Las Vegas Expo
Las Vegas Expo, Inc. is a veteran-owned organizer of trade shows and conventions. The Company supports customers across all aspects of a convention or trade show, including storage, general services to build stages and booths, and production of graphics and signage.\r\n\r\nThe convention and trade show industry was among the hardest hit segments of the Las Vegas economy during the COVID-19 shutdowns, with Southern Nevada suffering historic job losses in leisure and hospitality. Against this backdrop, NCF provided LVE with a $2.3M senior loan in December 2020. This financing provided stable, flexible capital, allowing LVE to be ready to scale as in-person events returned. As the trade show and convention industries rebounded, LVE outgrew its space. In June 2022, NCF provided an additional $500,000 QLICI to support LVE’s move to a larger facility. LVE completed the move into the larger facility and used the proceeds from the sale of the old properties to pay off the original NMJA QLICIs, funds which have since been reinvested into other Nevada QALICBs. In recognition of LVE’s resilience during the pandemic and the enduring values of integrity, loyalty, and adaptability that the founding family instilled, the Company was recognized by the Nevada Small Business Administration as the Nevada Family-Owned Business of the Year in 2023.\r\n\r\nLVE maintains a workforce of 144 employees in Nevada, creating over 100 jobs during the term of the NMJA financing. The average wage at LVE is 1.4x the living wage in Las Vegas. The Company offers employees a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid time off. LVE provides workforce development opportunities to employees through on-the-job training and management development courses via ADP. Additionally, LVE prioritizes purchasing goods and services from local vendors and suppliers, helping support the regional economy.
